Where Dirty Work Soap Scrub Came From
When I was younger my mom taught me how to make homemade body scrubs. I never forgot that recipe as it was so simple and she told me it was edible and tasted like candy, so how could I not forget it.
As I got older, I found a career path I wanted to follow, auto repair. I had become a female auto technician, and just like every other technician out there, I was constantly dirty. My hands suffered the most due to the soap because it never fully cleaned my hands and always left them dry and peeling.
One day, I was cleaning up and had accidently grabbed my body scrub instead of my soap, and when i realized I just decided to add the soap to the scrub. After using it I found that my hands were actually clean and didn’t feel dry and gross.
Ever since then I started working on a recipe that ate away dirt and grime without absolutely drying out the skin. During this process, my partner and I started brainstorming name ideas for this new soap scrub. We decided that we wanted to include your standard gross shop humor with the soap and settled on Dirty Works. Now, all the soaps are made from trial and error after getting home off of a grease filled workday, and all the soap scrubs are named based on humor within the blue-collar field.
